Chapter 1 - Distant Things

A thing can be far-off or nearby. A thing is usually nearby.

This is the distant-reach rule:

if asking someone to try doing something:

make no decision;

[if an actor analyzing:

make no decision;]

if the action requires a touchable noun and the noun is far-off:

if the actor is the player:

say "You can't possibly reach [the noun]." instead;

rule fails;

if the action requires a touchable second noun and the second noun is far-off:

if the actor is the player:

say "You can't possibly reach [the second noun]." instead;

rule fails;
